The first Rotary Club was the Rotary Club of Chicago, Illinois, USA, founded in 1905 by Paul P. Harris. Today, approximately 1.2 million Rotarians make up the more than 33,000 Rotary clubs that operate in more than 200 countries. In Spain there are more than 4,000 Rotarians integrated in 3 Districts that group more than 200 clubs.
Rotary is an international organization of business and professional leaders that provides humanitarian service, encourages high ethical standards in all vocations, and contributes to the building of goodwill and peace throughout the world.
Rotary members improve lives and bring positive, lasting change to communities around the world by promoting peace, fighting disease, providing clean water, supporting education, saving mothers and children, and growing local economies. Rotary's top priority is polio eradication. In 1985, Rotary launched its polio immunization program, Polio Plus, and in 1988 became a leading partner in the Global Polio Eradication Initiative.

Bosques Rotarios is a solidary, independent and internationally oriented organization that arises in Spain to cover reforestation projects carried out by clubs and Districts of Rotary International.
We promote the creation of new forests by offering global strategies both in communication and in the development of campaigns in collaboration with specialized companies and experts in reforestation.
