Addressing the world's most pressing problems requires empathy. We promote real, recognizable and universal people and stories.
Rotary is a global network of 1.2 million friends, leaders, and problem solvers who see a planet where people come together and take action to create lasting change in the world, their communities, and themselves.
To solve the most pressing problems, dedication and vision are prerequisites. For more than 110 years, Rotary's people of action have tackled the most serious problems with passion, energy, and competence. Whether it's literacy projects, peace-building, or access to water and health care, we strive to improve the world, persevering until our mission is accomplished.
As members of Rotary, we assume the responsibility to take action to address the most pernicious problems affecting humanity.
The first Rotary Club was the Rotary Club of Chicago, Illinois, USA, founded in 1905 by Paul P. Harris. Today, approximately 1.2 million Rotarians make up the more than 33,000 Rotary clubs that operate in more than 200 countries. In Spain there are more than 4,000 Rotarians integrated in 3 Districts that group more than 200 clubs.
Rotary is an international organization of business and professional leaders that provides humanitarian service, encourages high ethical standards in all vocations, and contributes to the building of goodwill and peace throughout the world.
Rotary members improve lives and bring positive, lasting change to communities around the world by promoting peace, fighting disease, providing clean water, supporting education, saving mothers and children, and growing local economies. Rotary's top priority is polio eradication. In 1985, Rotary launched its polio immunization program, Polio Plus, and in 1988 became a leading partner in the Global Polio Eradication Initiative.
We see things differently: We use our multidisciplinary perspective to address challenges from diverse approaches.
We have our own way of thinking: We put our leadership and professional experience at the service of others to solve the social problems that affect our communities.

Together we envision a world where people come together and take action to create lasting change in ourselves, our communities and the world at large.
Our essence encapsulates what Rotary is all about: current and emerging leaders coming together, building relationships, and making a positive impact in their communities and around the world. It also reflects the values that define Rotary: fellowship, integrity, diversity, service, and leadership.
All about Rotary forests, reforestation campaigns, current trends and district news.
All Rotary forests that already exist or are planned to be reforested with the support of Bosquesrotarios.org will have a personal page with all the information related to the forest: indicators, progress, experiences, images, publications, Rotary coordinators, recognition mentions, etc.
In addition, RotaryForests.org provides districts with the infrastructure and technical resources to have a personalized area that brings together all the Rotary forests promoted by clubs in their districts, as well as all the publications - related to forests and other district climate change initiatives - produced by the district, clubs, and Rotarians (coordinators, ambassadors, reforesters, etc.) who wish to contribute their knowledge, experience, and influence to our cause.
When our hearts and minds work in harmony, we can achieve incredible accomplishments. See how leaders from diverse countries, cultures and professions are taking action to improve health, empower youth, promote peace and improve their communities.
