Rotary Forests is an organization created to unite groups of Rotarians passionate about the fight against climate change. With an international vocation, it was created to support clubs and districts by energizing forest reforestation campaigns.
Rotary Forests is an independent organization of Rotary International formed by Rotarians around the world. The mission of Rotary Forests is to unite all Rotarians who are passionate about fighting climate change through reforestation projects, promoting expert platforms and serving both internationalfellowships (Rotary Fellowship*), clubs and districts of Rotary International.
Rotary Forests assists Rotary clubs, districts, and multidistricts to raise awareness, inspire action, and plan service projects that focus on reforestation through tree planting, forest creation, public awareness of climate change, and actions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
It is an environmental initiative unique in the world that arose within District 2202 of Spain at the beginning of 2021 to provide the necessary technical means and resources, such as experience and strategic coverage to clubs or districts, adapting the reforestation campaigns available according to their possibilities and objectives.
The technology infrastructure of Rotary Forests brings organizational intelligence to clubs and districts. There is no cost to join and participate in Rotary Forests: There are no membership fees, and simply being a member of a Rotary club in Rotary International is enough to join our movement.
Bosques Rotarios is managed and maintained through the social and environmental commitment of Rotarians involved in the movement. It is a symbol of sustainability, stewardship, ownership, and independence.

The Rotary Forests platform is available to the Rotary Fellowship recognized and appointed by the Board of Governors, so organizationally it operates independently of Rotary International (RI), with its own policies and administrative structure. We operate in accordance with RI's official recognition criteria and in compliance with sections 42.010 and 42.020 of the RI Constitution and Bylaws:

Rotary Forests is a great platform to serve clubs and districts free of charge. It relies on a network of technological, strategic and expert knowledge resources provided by individuals and CSR organizations to structure reforestation and tree planting campaigns.
We provide the necessary technical means and resources, such as expertise and strategic coverage to clubs or districts, adapting the available reforestation campaigns according to their possibilities and objectives.

Rotary Forests provides technical and human resources, such as expertise and strategic coverage to clubs or districts, adapting the reforestation campaigns available according to their possibilities and objectives. All provided through generosity, 100% at no cost to clubs and districts.
There are no financial flows in Rotary Forests, so it does not directly collect, receive, or manage any financial capital. The contributions of resources and means are covered entirely by the promoters of the platform. Any project with an associated budget, income and expenses will be fully tracked by the clubs/district designated by Rotary Forests and audited through non-profit public interest organizations and the district team designated according to the geographic location of the reforestation project.
If there are any profits, or management costs, they will be fully allocated to charitable purposes for which traceability must be obtained and documented through certificates.
All externally funded reforestation projects will fully allocate the entire cost overrun to the Rotary Foundation and well-designed charitable projects in accordance with a pre-established percentage allocation structure that is transparently presented in the presentation dossiers.
